What doesn't work yet or isn't complete in this version, and how to work around it.
What doesn't work yet or isn't complete in Kutter version 0.1.34, with workarounds.
Computers and installation
- Intel Macs aren't supported yet Kutter works on Macs with Apple chips (M1 or later) and Windows 10 / 11. See Install Kutter.
- The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows and macOS show a warning the first time you open it. Follow the steps in Install Kutter.
- The app screens are in Thai only
AI and accounts
- Kutter AI isn't available yet For now, use your own API Key or a local AI account. See App settings.
- Local AI accounts are still experimental If answers are incomplete or slow, switch to an API Key.
- Connect Claude (MCP) works only with Claude Desktop and Claude Code ChatGPT isn't supported yet, and Kutter must be open on the same computer. See App settings.
Transcription and audio
- Transcription may misspell words, especially names such as shop names or menu items. Add the words to Channel-specific words and transcribe again. Always check the subtitles before rendering.
- Voice cloning needs ElevenLabs You need an ElevenLabs key. See Clone your voice.
Files and projects
- Deleted projects can't be restored Your original footage files are still there, so you can create a new project and import them again.
- Footage on an external drive If you unplug the drive, the app can't find the files until you plug it back in.
- HEIC photos on Windows need HEIF Image Extensions. If conversion fails, set your iPhone to shoot in "Most Compatible" (JPG).
-
ใส่ฟุตเทจของฉัน (Add My Footage) matches scenes by file name only The app doesn't look at what's in the clip yet. Name files with words spoken in the scene (such as
latte-art.mp4), or change the picture one scene at a time yourself. See Make a clip with AI voice-over. - เล่นทั้งคลิป (Play Whole Clip) in the Storyboard doesn't play the audio of scenes set to ฉันพูดเอง (I'll Speak) yet Your voice is still in the rendered clip as usual.
- Zooming far into a scene makes the picture soft if the original is small (such as 1080p). Zoom only as much as you need, or shoot the original at a higher resolution.
Render and Export
- CapCut and Final Cut get straight cuts Add transitions yourself in that app (the Premiere / DaVinci XML has markers at the transition points). See Send to CapCut for more editing.
- Rendering is slow with Matte (cutting the person out of the background) Close games or other programs that use the graphics card, or turn off Matte in scenes that don't need it.
- Website screen recording needs Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome installed on your computer. See Record a website screen.
